The Guardian's report that Irving was convinced by the 1990s of the existence of gas chambers and believes that "the discussion on Auschwitz, the gas chambers and the Holocaust is finished ... it's useless to dispute it'" raises the question:
If he felt this way in the 1990s, then why was he arguing to the contrary in the High Court in 2000??
He really looks ridiculous to me. The Court Jester for sure....

Exactly...why did Irving put you, Penguin, Richard Evans, Christopher Browning, Peter Longerich, Hajo Funke, and all the rest of the world through this horribly expensive ordeal...just so he could hound and harass people and get his name in the papers?
If he just wanted to get his name in the papers, he should have tried setting the record for consecutive sit-ups.
