EU helps twart academic boycott of Israel

According to the JTA, Israel has signed an agreement with the European Union that thwarts efforts to impose a British academic boycott of Israel.

Under the terms of the agreement Israeli universities will participate in the major public/private research partnership to develop green air transport.

At the risk of seeming what I am not, what does facing the historicity of the Holocaust have to do with present-day politics concerning the State of Israel?

If you are asking why I posted this comment and have posted others about the boycott it is quite simple. The boycott proposal is a form of contemporary anstisemitism and that is one of the things about which I blog. [And no, I do not believe that all criticism of Israel = antisemitism. That's just silly. This boycott, however, is.]
